Havenβt been to a Sam Woo for a while but seriously wanted a no nonsense lunch and this little hole in the wall hit just right. They have Chinese BBQ items which many take away. They have a very small sitting area but with the quick and efficient service the turn over is pretty high and if you wait it shouldnβt be too bad. Their menu is full of Chinese staples and you are sure to find something to please your palate. We chose beef fried noodle and the 2 BBQ and rice plate. We chose chicken and pork with crispy skin. That skin packed the perfect crunch! Both dishes are authentically flavored. Come out quick and hot. The table service comes with tea which is nice!

Ever since I was a kid, Chinese BBQ pork has been one of my favs. So after moving away from places that have very good BBQ pork, I often have cravings when I go back to those areas/cities. I used to love their other location (at the big plaza) and their food was very good. This location has been my "to-go" spot when I used to live nearby. My friend decided to take me here for my most recent trip. I wouldn't say that I am disappointed, yet it is lacking something... but it still gives me the "home cooked meal" vibe. I do wish their BBQ pork is better though.

I ordered the three-combination rice, but the duck meat was all skin. I contacted them and they changed it, but the quantity was less than I expected.

The BEST fried rice. One of my must visits every time headed this way. Love the fried rice tremendously, and the barbeque on the side. Prices are very reasonable as well, and place is accommodating enough although gets full pretty quick. People donβt normally spend too much time around here so seats roll with little time. Staff is quick and speaks cantonese.
